Dashboard Metrics

Core performance indicators

Dashboard Percent
Balance Total Return

Measures total portfolio performance after net dividends, dividend taxes, stock-gain taxes and withdrawals.

((B + DivNet - Dep - TaxDiv - TaxGain - W) / Dep) x 100
B = current total balance Dep = total deposits DivNet = sum of net dividends TaxDiv + TaxGain = total taxes paid
Dashboard Annualized
Average Annual Return

Uses the simple CAGR model between your current balance and total deposits over the active investing period.

r = (B / Dep)^(1 / T) - 1
T = years since earliest eligible deposit Displayed value = r x 100
Dashboard Cash Flow
Average Monthly Contribution

Tracks how much fresh capital is invested per month, excluding bank-deposit rows.

Cm = sum(all deposits except Bank Deposits) / investing months
All deposit values are converted to EUR first Investing months come from your start date in Settings
Dashboard Cash Out
Withdrawal Amount

Shows total withdrawals already taken out of the portfolio.

W = sum(all withdrawal rows converted to EUR)
Displayed in your active viewing currency
Dashboard Risk Control
Return of Capital Ratio

Quantifies how much of the original invested capital has already been withdrawn.

ROC = (W / Dep) x 100
W = total withdrawals Dep = total deposits pulled from the deposits source Useful for separating harvested cash from still-compounding capital

Profile Settings-driven
Retirement Timeline

These fields are derived from the dates and retirement targets defined in Settings.

Investment Period
months = (current year - start year) x 12 + (current month - start month) - day adjustment
Age
age = current date - birthday, adjusted if birthday has not occurred yet this year
Time to Retirement
V = max(retirement age - current age, 0)
Retirement Age and Years after Retirement are direct user inputs
Profile Income
Portfolio Base Layer

Current Portfolio Balance mirrors the live Dashboard balance, while Annual Dividends use the strongest recent annual record.

Current Portfolio Balance
B = live total balance after FX normalization across holdings and accounts
Annual Dividends
Dbase = max(current year annual dividends, previous year annual dividends)
Mirrored Metrics
Avg. Annual Return = Dashboard CAGR, Avg. Monthly Contribution = Dashboard monthly contribution
Profile Percent
Dividend Yield

Shows how much annual dividend income the current portfolio balance is producing.

Dividend Yield = (sum of annual dividend rows / B) x 100
Uses the annual-dividends table as currently rendered
My Profile

Conclusion metrics and FI progress

Profile Percent
Capital Growth Rate

Separates capital appreciation from dividend income using the current Banymay production logic.

Total Return
((B + DivNet - Dep - TaxDiv - TaxGain - W) / Dep) x 100
Income Return
(DivNet / Dep) x 100
Capital Growth Rate
Capital Growth Rate = Total Return - Income Return
Profile Compounding
Growth Multiplier (to Retirement)

Shows how many times the portfolio can multiply if the current average annual return is sustained until retirement.

Growth Multiplier = (1 + r)^V
r = Average Annual Return / 100
Profile Progress
Where You Are Today and Personal FFI Progress

Combines current dividend income with a straight-line drawdown view of the existing portfolio over the full retirement horizon.

Monthly Dividend Income
monthly dividends = Annual Dividends / 12
Monthly Drawdown
monthly drawdown = B / ((V + Y) x 12)
Where You Are Today
Where Today = monthly dividends + monthly drawdown
FFI Progress
FFI Progress = (Where Today / personal FFI monthly target) x 100
Projection Engine

Retirement outputs and requirement tables

Projection No New Contributions
Balance at Retirement

Applies compound growth to the current balance when the only growth driver is portfolio return.

Balance at Retirement = B x (1 + r)^V
The first profile chart plots this same yearly series
Projection Dividends Only
Dividends at Retirement

Starts from the strongest recent annual dividend base and compounds it using dividend yield and the effective growth rate.

Effective Growth Rate
reff = (1 + g)^(1 / investing years) - 1
Projected Dividends
Dividends at Retirement = Dbase x (1 + y) x (1 + reff)^V

If Dbase is unavailable, the app falls back to B x y.

Projection Monthly Investing
Balance at Retirement with Contributions

Uses the future-value formula of a growing base portfolio plus a yearly contribution stream.

Annual Contribution
Ca = 12 x Cm
Future Value
FV = B x (1 + r)^V + Ca x (((1 + r)^V - 1) / r)

If r is 0, the fallback becomes: FV = B + Ca x V.

Projection Income at Retirement
Dividends at Retirement with Contributions

Converts the future value of the contribution scenario into expected annual dividend income.

Projected Dividends = FV x y
The second profile chart plots this yearly series
Projection FI Table
Annual Cost, NetCost and FI Requirements

Each CoL, CoL+ and FI row in both projection tables is derived from the expense targets and projected retirement dividends.

Annual Cost
Annual Cost = monthly expense target x 12
NetCost
NetCost = max(0, Annual Cost - projected retirement dividends)
Req 1% to Req 5%
Required Capital at withdrawal rate p = NetCost / p
Finite Req
Finite Req = NetCost x (1 - (1 + 0.03)^(-Y)) / 0.03

If the finite-rate assumption is ever 0, the fallback is NetCost x Y.
